For our family vacation this year we drove close to 2000 miles round trip to visit one of my favorite places, Oregon.

We had a pretty rough start to our vacation, the plan was for me to pick Jim up from work at 5 and head for Winnemacca.  Well soon after I pulled out of the neighborhood  I noticed smoke billowing out behind the trailer.  I pulled over to find one of the wheels of the trailer on its side.  The axel of the trailer had broken and the tire was barely hanging on.  Well the next day was Pioneer Day and a lot of places were closed, but by some miracle we were able to have one made by 4 p.m. and on the trailer by 5 the next day.  So we left about 24 hours late.
